I read somewhere that menstrual products are now eligible expense to run through an FSA or HSA, is that true?
Yes! You heard right. When the CARES Act was signed in March 2020, they made it official that menstrual products were now to be considered eligible expenses. Since then, we have had a slew of various products submitted under this category we didn’t even know existed. Here’s a current list of eligible items:
- tampons
- pads,
- liners,
- cups,
- sponges,
- period panties
Don’t’ forget the menstrual pain relievers such as Midol and Pamprin. Keep your receipts and submit for reimbursement!
